Amongst the best pubs in Adelaide. Still has seats at the bar which seems to be becoming less common. They have pokies but they are stashed away in a corner so less obtrusive than many pubs. The big thing is the beer selection. The Gilbert has one of the best selections in the city. A great range that many other bars don't seem to be able to get their hands on. If you're a beer nerd this is a must visit in Adelaide.
Where to Start! Not your run of the mill pub menu. fantastic wine, beer and cider list. the Food is unbelievable! A burger with a decent bit of meat in it. (sirloin). great Salmon Trout Fish cakes and great tapas. oh and buffalo wings on Thursday are very moreish!
Newly refurbished absolutely fab unique decor. Beer garden is truly unique. Unusual decor there. Bikes on the wall a feature. Upstairs is also cool. Room with bar very cosy and old time decor other room also cosy. Balcony gives great views. Menu is good as is drinks selection.
