Sweden and Norway Added to TUI’s Ski Holidays with New Flights to Scandinavian Mountains from Brussels: Here’s What You Need to Know

TUI is expanding its winter offerings by adding Sweden and Norway to its list of ski destinations. Starting on December 20, 2025, the popular tour operator will begin a new direct weekly flight service from Brussels to Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR), located on the border between Sweden and Norway. This marks a new chapter for TUI’s ski tourism, providing Belgians an alternative to the traditional Alps resorts, and introducing travelers to the unique charm of the Far North.

The new flight service will run weekly until March 21, 2026, offering a convenient route to one of Scandinavia’s most exciting ski regions. Visitors will have quick access to three renowned ski resorts: Trysil (Norway’s largest ski area), Stöten and Sälen (both located in Sweden). This expansion strengthens the appeal of Scandinavia as an enticing option for winter sports enthusiasts seeking reliable snow and a less crowded atmosphere compared to the more traditional Alpine destinations.

The Scandinavian Mountains Airport offers easy access to these world-class ski resorts, making it an excellent hub for winter tourists. Trysil, Stöten, and Sälen are known for their varied slopes catering to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. With guaranteed snow from December to April, the region promises a perfect skiing experience throughout the winter season. Beyond skiing, the resorts offer a range of unique winter activities, such as husky rides, reindeer safaris, snowmobile excursions, and festive Christmas experiences, making it an ideal destination for both ski and winter tourism enthusiasts.

The Scandinavian region offers an authentic winter atmosphere, away from the mass tourism seen in other parts of Europe. Visitors can immerse themselves in local Scandinavian culture while enjoying activities like snowshoeing, and dining on traditional local cuisine. Plus, with fewer crowds and competitive prices, this region offers a more relaxed and charming alternative to the bustling Alps.

TUI offers affordable packages combining flights and accommodations starting at euro 551.50 per person, making it an attractive option for travelers seeking a winter getaway. For those only looking for flights, flight-only tickets are available from euro 79.99 per leg, allowing tourists more flexibility to plan their trips.

The accommodation options in the Scandinavian resorts are varied, with around twenty choices ranging from ski-in/ski-out lodges to more traditional hotels, ensuring something for every budget and preference. This variety of options makes Scandinavia an accessible winter destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

With this new initiative, TUI is positioning Scandinavia as a standout winter destination for travelers looking for both adventure and relaxation in an unspoiled natural setting. The airline’s expansion into the Scandinavian market allows tourists to explore a region rich in natural beauty, offering a broader perspective on winter tourism beyond the crowded ski resorts in the Alps.

For Scandinavia, this partnership is expected to drive tourism, bringing more visitors to the region and supporting local economies in areas like Norway’s Trysil and Sweden’s Sälen. TUI’s commitment to expanding Scandinavian winter travel also helps reinforce the region’s image as an accessible yet off-the-beaten-path destination, appealing to travelers from all over Europe and beyond.

Travelers looking for an alternative to the more traditional Alpine resorts are encouraged to consider Scandinavia in 2025. With the addition of flights from Brussels to Scandinavian Mountains, tourists can easily experience the best of Norway and Sweden‘s ski resorts, as well as immerse themselves in the cultural and natural wonders of the Far North.

Scandinavia’s combination of high-quality skiing, unique winter activities, fewer crowds, and affordable travel options make it a fantastic choice for those looking to add something different to their winter vacation plans. Plus, with TUI’s reliable service and varied accommodation options, travelers can enjoy a stress-free and memorable experience.
